Sigh of Relief

At long last, the exams are finally over. It feels good but at the same time I am really nervous of how well did I do them. Ah well, I am just going to sit back and quit worrying for another 9 weeks...=)

Excited but Guilty

I am going off to India next week. Two of my cousins are getting married and I am attending their weddings! On the other hand, my exams are on the next month. So after sooo many days of weighing the pros and cons of going to India in this crucial time, I have come to the conclusion of going. I rather think that i will have more urge to study over there compared to over here. Other than attending the weddings, I will pretty much have all the time to myself to study. Over here without my parents, I get easily distracted and also will have to take care of myself, which I was not looking forward to =). So will be taking all my books over there and hopefully I will get some studying done!

I will be taking Air Asia thanks to the direct flight from Penang to Chennai.=)

Love Them 2 Bits and Pieces....

30th September 2010. Went over to Salsas with the plan of celebrating Shantina's farewell. Hui Fang and I reached there 1 hour earlier than the others. Th staff over there were so nice that they kept us entertained and even asked us if we wanted pillows and blankets while waiting for the others. =)
I was wearing a bright red dress that my friends bought for my birthday. They also insisted that I wear it on that day. *smiles*. Thank You!
Hui Fang, Shantina, me, Mel, Rachel(pity that Ru Yan, Jojo and Jing Yu could not join us)

A tiny surprise when one of the staff brought my dessert with a single candle on it. =)
All in all, it was a great day. Going to miss Shantina very very much! Later for dinner, my parents and I went to Ocean Green to have dinner and celebrated my b'day with them! *double smiles*

A little Adventure

The evening started of with the plan to join the ACCA and CAT get-together. But when Janet and I arrived there, we realised, (from the shadows) that only the CAT students turned up. Both of us did not even bother to go in. We waited for Hui Fang to turn up and the three of us headed to New World Park (with me walking all the way from Wisma UMNO to New World Park wearing 4 inches heels).

We went in this Bistro (don't remember the name), which looked really nice and ordered Set Dinners which was quite affordable. And of course taking lots and lots of pictures.

The Murshroom Soup was sooo tasty!!

My Lasangne. It was sooo filling even though the quantity looks small. And fully covered with cheese. It will be some time when I might eat cheese ever again.=)

Janet's Angeoli. She couldn't finish it. Hui Fang ordered the same thing though she had successfully cleaned the plate. lolx

It was a great evening. The restaurant's crew looked really happy to see us leave. This might be cause of the noise that we made, or the weird photos that we were taking, or just because all the other customers who came in after us had already left but we were still there. Haha.

Linguine

While I am getting worse in cooking other food, my pasta cooking skills are quite improving, *smiles*. This is something that I made which for the first time, my brother did not complain. So I thought that it was worth blogging. As usual it was only both of us at home. After turning the kitchen upside-down, this is what turned up. It should have been a little more wet i guess, so I guess that I still have a long way to go. =P

Turning 2 a Health Freak

If you asked me if I will eat this stuff 2 years ago, I would have sworn no. But now it is not so bad, quite appetizing really. Raisin Bran Cereal, pieces of oats, extra raisins, cranberries, bananas, strawberries, sunflower seed and walnuts! Breakfast!!

Hongkie Kopitiam

My dad, bro and I tried out this restaurant at Autocity. I know it is quite a common restaurant. They have many branches, one even in Aeon Seberang Perai, and the concept is very much similar to Kim Gary. I felt the price was a tad bit too expensive but boy the quantity was quite big or what! haha....

My dried chilli chicken rice

My bro's Iced Blueberry Lemon Juice

Dad's Char Hor Fan

By the time we finished our food, most of it anyway, we could hardly walk, Or maybe I am just being too dramatic!

How to make your very own photo frame!!

1. Get a piece of cardboard. Measure the photo that you want to frame. Cut out the inner part of the cardboard around 5cm smaller than the photo that you measured. Get bits and pieces of junk from your house. Used up pens, beads, buttons.....anything small; the idea is to create and uneven surface on the board. Then tape all of those pieces on the cardboard.

2. Get old newspaper and tear them into pieces. Get PVA glue (normal glue is ok but PVA is much easier to use) and an big old paintbrush. Brush the glue on the paper and stick in on the cardboard. Do this over and over again and make sure that every part the of card board is covered with newspaper. Lay this aside for at least an overnight.

3. Now you will be able to see that the cardboard is nice and hard. Get your favorite colour. Mine is black so paint in all over the cardboard.

4. This is my favorite part. Get colours contrasting with your base colour. Make sure that the paint is not watery and really thick. Then just glaze it over. If you like it simple, one colour will do but I like mine colourful. So.....

.....And there you have it.....You're very own photo frame....haha.....

Happy B'day Ma!!

Celebrated my mom's birthday not long ago. My dad bought a b'day cake and smsed me to come downstairs, light the cake and bring it up as a surprise for my mom!!

This is called 'falooda'. It's something like strawberry milkshake with pistachio and almond nuts, pink coloured cendol and vanilla strawberry ice cream on top of it. Yum!!

The part where we don't fall asleep!!

It seems like ages since I last attended the audit classes. I liked that class the best compared to f6, f7 or f9. It involved us having group discussions and of course mind mapping!!

2 Hours Break...=)

Originally only 4 of us planned to have lunch at the Bombay Palace at Penang road, but in the end 10 of us turned up. It was a fun 2 hours. For some of them it was the first time trying Indian food...=)

BNP Paribas 2010 Tennis!!!

Watched the Paribas match this morning with my dad. It was sooo cool. Eight tennis legends with a combined 94 Grand Slam titles between them stepped on court for the “Hit for Haiti” charity exhibition presented by Oracle, and raised $1 million for earthquake relief efforts on a memorable Friday night at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells.

On the women’s side, Martina Navratilova and Justine Henin teamed up for an 8-6 win over Lindsay Davenport and Steffi Graf, while Roger Federer and Pete Sampras defeated Andre Agassi and Rafael Nadal by the same scoreline in the second exhibition match of the night. I was rooting for Agassi and Nadal to win but it was a close call.

Since this was a friendly match, all players were given microphones which was attached to their clothes so that the audience could hear what they were saying. They were soooooo funny!!

At one point when a male staff member helped reattach Graf’s microphone pack to her back, her competitors quipped, “You’re going to get it from Agassi!”

Agassi, who married Graf in 2001, also took part in the friendly banter on court. He joked, “All the children are probably wondering, ‘Who are these two old bald guys playing with Federer and Nadal?’” to which Sampras retorted, “I still have some hair left. You look like Kojak over there.”

Agassi also teased partner Nadal after the Spaniard failed to reach a shot, telling him, “You move a lot faster on TV,” and poked fun at himself after Federer told him to take off his long pants. “They haven’t seen the sun in six months,” he said before rolling up his track pants to reveal his pale legs.

Pete Sampras and Andre Agassi

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal

Justine Henin and Steffi Graf

Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi

All in all it was the most entertaining match that I have ever seen and the best part is that the victims of Haiti get the million dollars. It was really nice of the players to spare time and help out, and this is the first match Nadal played after his injury and he was quite good!!! Go Nadal!! haha....

Tic Toc Tic Toc

My results are come out at GMT 0500 tomorrow!!!!!!! Argh!!!!!!!!!

CNY Celebration at Winnie's House
