A Wonderful Night!!

Last night, Hui Fang had steamboat at her house. She called me 2 come at 6.30 p.m but I ended up there only at around 8.00 p.m. But I think it was ok cause all the guests were coming in at that time. I was the odd one there cause none of my other college mates could make it and all her other friends that came were from her English class. But I has a really great time. We played UNO, had delicious steamboat, and chit chated for a long time. I only left her house around 10.45 p.m.

all the yummy stuff...^^

The Associate

I have just bought this book. It is really great. I don't usually read this kind of books around 4 years back, but I have been influenced by my father to start up on books like this. Anyway I am huge fan of John Grisham's books. All his books are law related and I am finding his books interesting and really hard to put down!!!

An overview of the book:-

Kyle McAvoy grew up in his father’s small-town law office in York, Pennsylvania. He excelled in college, was elected editor-in-chief of The Yale Law Journal, and his future has limitless potential.

But Kyle has a secret, a dark one, an episode from college that he has tried to forget. The secret, though, falls into the hands of the wrong people, and Kyle is forced to take a job he doesn’t want—even though it’s a job most law students can only dream about.

Three months after leaving Yale, Kyle becomes an associate at the largest law firm in the world, where, in addition to practicing law, he is expected to lie, steal, and take part in a scheme that could send him to prison, if not get him killed.

With an unforgettable cast of characters and villains—from Baxter Tate, a drug-addled trust fund kid and possible rapist, to Dale, a pretty but seemingly quiet former math teacher who shares Kyle’s “cubicle” at the law firm, to two of the most powerful and fiercely competitive defense contractors in the country—and featuring all the twists and turns that have made John Grisham the most popular storyteller in the world, THE ASSOCIATE is vintage Grisham.

Joy in Joy

God has created everything in twain
Life - Death
Love - Hate
Joy - Pain

And
Now i crave for the other side
Cuz everything has its joy
Joy has its joy
And
Even pain has its joy
But what everyone looks for
Is the joy of joy
But i seek for the pain
The Sweetness in Pain
Pain in Silence
Silence in Loneliness
Loneliness in Joy
Cuz everything has its Joy!

Joy in joy can only be stong
If after the aeons of pain
A ray of mirth shines

So joy is even incomplete without pain, sorrow etc.
And so i plead to God
Fill my soul with bitterness
Fill my life with Pain
And rest of the quest
I will search my self

I just enjoyed reading this poem and wanted to share it...=)

A Little Exercise....=)

My friends and I went over to botanical gardens. I guess we only walked around one big round the garden, then we started taking photos. That was really not our plan. After taking photos, when we saw the time, it was nearing 9.30 already. We were having class at 11.00, so we started rushing. Went over my house first, then went to Jojo's hostel. Good thing we were right on time for class after breakfast! =)

We had lots of fun and were very tired....Can't wait to go again though!!!

Movie Maraton!

These are the movies that I have watched since I was back from the trip....=)

Back to my old Hobby...

Lately, I started collecting stamps again. My dad found his old collection of stamps and gave to me! Some stamps are even dated the year 1933! It was really cool. There was about a thousand stamps. So now I just can't put down the stamp book. Sorting it out according to the date, state, and colour. It sure is tiring!!

Ponggal!!!!

I celebrated ponggal today. I was fun!! My mom put in the rice and milk in the big huge clay pot, and waited for it to boil fully and spill out. Then my dad will blow the big shell type of whistle when it is spilling out. My mom also made a couple of other dishes too (strictly vegetarian), and we had a heavy dinner with lots of leftovers. We kept the dishes in front of god, prayed and thanking god for the food, then we ate! It was very delicious!! =)

Back 2 College

I have just started my classes in PTPL for F9. Actually the class started in December, but since I was away for holiday, I missed couple of classes. It was good to be back =). Couple of my friends were not there since they were not taking the paper but most of them were. I am taking my f7 and f8 papers in Disted. The classes will be starting next Monday. Can't Wait!!!
